Point & Click Indexing allows manual indexing of items from disk. The user may
click on the index data displayed to index a document.
Data Entry
There are two tabs: BatchNo and Index.
The BatchNo tab allows the user to select the Index
Template and Batch to index.
Once a batch is selected the Index Tab is automatically selected and the may click
on the index data displayed according to the rules established in the
index template .
The Index tab allows select the index information from the tree.
Use the left mouse click to navigate the tree to the index point. Once at the index
point the document can be indexed using the available buttons.
If the document is to be indexed to more than one index point then navigate to each
index point in turn using the left mouse click and once reached use the right click
to add to a list of index points for this document.
The current index point is also displayed on the status bar at the bottom of the
screen. Multiple index points are displayed in a list towards the bottom of the
screen.
If the user has permissions to route new cases then
the option to Send To in-trays
is available.
Free Text
Any text entered in this box is associated to the relevant database field as configured
by the system administrator.
Buttons
Index New Document
Indexes the current document against the chosen index point(s).
Additional Page
Indexes the current document as a continuation sheet of the last indexed item. This
button is only active if the Index New Document button has been clicked at least
once before within this batch.
Index All
Indexes all document within a selected batch automatically as one item
with the entered index information.
Delete
Deletes the currently viewed document.

Index Point Buttons
Delete
Deletes the currently highlighted index point from the list.
Clear
Clears all index points from the list.
