External e-Mail Users
If a user is not configured as an external e-mail user they may e-mail the image files for a case.

If a user is configured as an external e-mail user the system only allows them to e-mail linked list (.MLK) file.

The linked list contains the absolute locations of the image files only, and the images are therefore only available to other users within the organisation that have access to the relevant image servers.

The .MLK file should be associated with e4DM SoftView in the registry of the external e-mail user. This is achieved simply by double-clicking a .MLK in windows explorer, browsing for the SoftView program, and checking 'Always use the selected Program to open this kind of file'.
